REFORM: Five Artists You Should Be Listening To...

Okay, I thought I would share with all of you the music you should be listening to- or at the very least check out. (*Yes, these are all Christian artists but give 'em a chance...)

1. Grey Holiday: Glorious Revolution- www.greyholiday.com
"Let Go" has to be one of my new favorite songs and on rotation in my office. This band isn't overly preachy or worshipful, just honest and real about where they are in their faith journey. The beats are fantastic and the lyrics will move ya'.

2. Krystal Meyers: Dying for a Heart- www.krystalmeyers.com
I have been a huge fan of Meyers since her debut album Anticonformity. Often dubbed the Avril Lavinge of Christian music, I think she breaks that title in her lastest attempt. What catches me about her songs is her powerful voice to rock and the lyrics that break my heart. As any good Lutheran, "The Beauty of Grace" wows me. Lutherans cling to grace- it really does set us apart about how much we depend on it compared to other religions and denominations. I find that message in this song. "Hallejuah" is epic. It could really mean different things to different people but whatever- you have to listen. Forget Avril, Meyers has carved her own name this time.

3. Monk & Neagle:The Twenty-First Time- www.monkandneagle.com
How can you not love this group? They aren't your typical Christian duo and they seem to write a lot of love songs. (Which is okay...) But their latest album expands a little to issues such as giving and sharing and worship. Great voices and just pure raw talent make them worthy of listening to...

4. David Crowder Band:Remedy- www.davidcrowderband.com
I know ya'll love the "get up and get down" music- this band is for ya! It's worship music with a beat and just fun. It is not for the faint-of-heart. It's meant to move ya in more than one way... "Everything Glorious" is a electronic-worship-bop-your-head song I cannot get out of my head. Destined to make the worship/praise circuit.

5. Tree63:Sunday- www.tree63.com
I love this band! Seriously. Deep and lovely, this band has their own take on faith. "Sunday" the title track is my favorite and hits me hard!

Got any other suggestions? Love any bands that should be added to this list? Let me know!

Peace in Christ,
Erica <><
